Recent tests at the StingRay factory demonstrate incredible cleanliness levels in the oil galleries of diesel engine blocks during the remanufacture process. The StingRay block flush system kicked the snot out of the dirt. A C175 Cat block tested in the StingRay SR136 parts washer with the block flush system passed the Cat spec with flying colors.
Testing included lacing a used block with metal chips, grind swarf and metal dust. Then washing the diesel block through a standard wash cycle following up with the block flush cycle. The particle size measurements after cleaning are 1/3 of the specification limit. Everyone is very happy about the results.
